Notes concerning the disposal of batteries and electronic devices
In connection with the sale of batteries and accumulators (included in the scope of delivery of some devices), we as retailers are obliged under the Battery Act to inform consumers of the following:
Please dispose of used batteries as required by law. In accordance with the Battery Act, disposal in household waste is expressly forbidden. Dispose of them at a municipal collection point or return them free of charge to local retailers. After use, you can return batteries obtained from us free of charge at the following address. Alternatively, send them back to us with sufficient postage:
Gewerbepark 7
D- 87640 Biessenhofen
Batteries containing pollutants are marked with a sign consisting of a crossed out rubbish bin and the chemical symbol (Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury or Pb = lead) of the heavy metal that is decisive for classification as a pollutant.
Further information concerning these batteries can be found in the operating instructions of the respective manufacturers and from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (www.bmu.de).
Under the Electrical Act (ElektroG), manufacturers of electrical and electronic devices are obliged to take back old devices free of charge. We do not have our own brand and are therefore not subject to registration. This is because all of the products that are sold through the online shop have already been labelled by the manufacturer and registered through them. These old devices can be returned free of charge to one of the designated collection points. Queries relating to this are clarified by the municipal waste disposal company. Further information concerning the Electrical Act can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (www.bmu.de).
